Top JFK Airport Management come and go as aviation careers offer new challenges throughout the world. There a few people who are arriving and departing JFK Airport recently. Everett, who joined the Port Authority as the new Deputy Director, Aviation Department last August, is serving as JFK’s Interim General Manager. Everett had been the Executive Director at Lehigh-Northampton Airport Authority before joining the Port Authority of NYNJ as Deputy Aviation Director. Terminal One management offered best wishes saying, “ We look forward to further overall JFK improvements under Charles’s leadership.”

Michael Moran has taken a new position as General Manager, Aviation Planning and Environmental Services for the Port Authority. As previous General Manager of JFK Airport Ajay Dhawan, friend, KLM Station Manager, and President of TFAC , had this to say on behalf of TFAC and Kaamco, “Michael Moran (or Mike as he is known to his airline colleagues) provided stellar leadership for the Port Authority’ JFK airport for nearly 4 years. As two times former President of KAAMCO and current President of TFAC (Terminal Four Airlines Consortium) I can speak for the 90+ airlines operating at JFK when I say that Mike has committed himself to serving the needs of JFK’s passengers, Cargo & Mail and he was always willing to actively contributed value to all of JFK’s organizations that he participated, whether it be KAAMCO, JFK Chamber of Commerce, Queens Chamber of Commerce, JFK Catholic Guild, the JFK Jewish Synagogue Chapel and so on. It is very easy to say that Mike was a real partner and will be extremely missed by the JFK airline community. Aside from his contributions to the many JFK airport organizations, Mike provides excellent leadership to his Port Authority operational, maintenance and business staff. We wish him well and the very best with his new responsibilities in the Aviation Department’s headquarters.” Terminal One Executive director of Operations Steve Rowland said “We will truly miss Mike’s leadership, his partnership management approach, and his community participation both inside and outside of JFK.”

Gert-Jan de Graaff has taken the role of CEO at Brisbane Airport Corporation (BAC) in Australia where he had held a previous position. As CEO and President of JFKIAT Terminal for the past fur years he had developed strong relationships. Frank DiMola, Executive Director of TFAC had kind words to say “ 4 Years ago, this month, Gert-Jan de Graaff assumed the role as President of JFKIAT and I have had the absolute pleasure to work closely with him not only as the Station Manager for KLM, but also in my capacity as President of TFAC. In his short few 4 years at JFKIAT, Gert-Jan has taken a world class Schiphol terminal into a newer terminal. Gert-Jan has always endeavored to improve the terminal operations for its airline passengers that we all serve. On behalf of the TFAC airlines, we (I) will truly miss him and wish him well as he returns to Brisbane Airport”. According to de Graaff, innovation is what he loves to do as his new project down under will be to build an entirely new runway for Brisbane.

Welcome Roel Huinink who will assume the role as CEO & President of JFKIAT as Terminal 4. As de Graaff moves to the Southern Hemisphere. According to de Graaff, he expects Huinink will fit in very well at JFK having had engineering, operational, retail and commercial services experience in a large airport as the former Managing Director of Arlanda Schiphol Development Company. As de Graaff has guided Terminal 4 into a retail success by meeting customer demands and needs, so it appears that Huinink will seek to continue on this direction as having said about his Schiphol tenure, “ “Over the past few years, we have lifted Stockholm Arlanda as a shopping destination to meet the changing passengers’ demands”. Welcome Roel Huinink to the JFK Airport community.
