The African Genesis Institute sponsored its annual Teen Summit program giving over 100 young children and adults the opportunity to visit Eqypt in Africa.
African Genesis Institute is a nonprofit “School Without Walls” ran by founders Ali and Helen Salahuddin for African-American and Latino youth.
Over a 27-month period students and group leaders who take part in this program learn ancient African history through classes held at the African-American Museum of Philadelphia.
Raw Space in Harlem, N.Y. is also apart of the African Genesis program in its efforts to reach more people and expand the company’s mission.
As a graduation gift from completing these courses, African Genesis will reward the student and adult with an all cost paid trip to visit Egypt.
“We hosted this enrollment meeting to enroll 100 students and 50 adult group leaders who will be apart of the class of 2020,” said Ali Salahuddin co-founder of the African Genesis Institution.
“This is our 25th year operation in which we started in 1983 and over that period we’ve taken over 3,000 students and parents through the program to the motherland,” Salahuddin added.
