Russia flies ventilators and medical supplies to NY FEMA to fight Corona Virus

A Huge Antonov-124 cargo aircraft brought needed medical supplies to FEMA, NY including Aventa-M ventilators, from Russia, along with respirators and health care supplies. Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) handled the ground ops at JFK Airport with CBP, PAPD and ARFF on hand for customs and security and safety.

Previously a senior US administration official said the United States was expecting Russia to deliver a planeload of personal protection equipment and medical supplies to fight the novel corona virus outbreak.

The Russian military cargo aircraft departed CHKALOVSKY AIRFIELD (Moscow Region) (Sputnik) and arrived at JFK Airport around 4;15 pm on Wednesday to the waiting ground handling crew and crowd of agencies to inspect and secure the valuable medical supplies. This is purported to be the first of a few of this type of shipments over the coming days and weeks.
